Most Bad Criticism of Movie from Russian Plotters

Researcher Morten Bay argues that the real response to the flick was actually much more positive.

“Overall, 50.9 percent of those tweeting negatively were likely politically motivated or not even human,” said Bay, a research fellow and Ph.D. candidate at USC.

Out of the 206 negative tweets, 33 were sent by trolls and/or “sockpuppets” — a fake identity used for deception — Bay found. Among the trolls, 16 accounts appeared to be Russian.

One of the accounts believed to belong to a Russian troll tweeted Johnson 13 times over three weeks that he had “ruined Star Wars.”

Bay sounds like a Disney operative. I HATED Last Jedi and I'm no Russian nor bot and I know you're not either. Fans I know personally hated it too.

I'm going to enjoy not paying to see Episode 9 the same way I enjoyed not paying to see Solo.

The scary thing is, if the director thinks half of it is trolls/fake does that mean they'll keep this crap style of star wars and take it further pc left? I'm scared for episode 9 now. Well, I kinda know it'll be bad when JJ said if u hate women, don't watch or something along those lines. Good old star wars and lore instead of 'mah diversity/patriarchy' quotas are gonna run this franchise into the ground.

I read the 38 page research paper after my original post so I mellowed a bit in my criticism of him. Some of the things he said were true and has been my criticism re: the unhappy fans.

I'll paraphrase since most won't want to read the entire 38 pages.

The researcher said that SW movies were always political and always left-wing which I agree with. The unhappy fans tend to be right-wing and have a problem with equality and diversity and a left-wing point of view. He said the difference isn't that SW BECAME political because it always was. The difference is that the fans became political.

No mention obviously that the reverse is also true and you get fake accounts giving glowing commendations.

There is a professional editor named Ivan Ortega who is doing a fantastic job of fixing TLJ. He is, of course, in a running melee with Disney. Part of his current defensive maneuvering is to include a video of his receipt for purchasing the TLJ DVD and """officially""" telling his viewers that they too must """"buy"""" a copy so that they can follow his tutorial for editing. It just so happens that his tutorial for editing will be a finished, fixed, improved, TLJ. I doubt that there will be a swell of DVD purchases from this but it is interesting.

He fixes things like Luke mourning Han, Akbar being a character treated with respect, no flying Leigha, etc. Hard to imagine that it could be good but easy to imagine that it could be better. Way better. Check out the altered trailer here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d8_-6pCgpM

I KNEW IT!!! I also suspect Russian agents of infiltrating US neighborhoods and scattering weed seeds on well maintained lawns thus causing a slightly higher weed to grass ratio. Lost the Cold War, my foot. It was all part of their dastardly schemes!
