No chemistry between the characters

I think part of the reason the ST feels a bit flat is how little chemistry/connection there is between the characters. I'm thinking of this "behind the scenes" video:

It's like, HAN,LIKE, AND LEIA! They meshed well together, and felt like a trio. With the main three in the ST, it's a bit nothingy.

Agree. Not much written, and no real chemistry.

They didnt even try to build up some chemistry between the main actors. They seem like some people going to work and then drivng directly home after work :) .

Likeable characters are too smart for todays viewers :) . They think hate and depression makes an story more adultlike :) .

Rey who knew Han for a day cries her eyes out over his death, but Luke who knew him for decades isn't shown grieving.
Rose falls in love with Finn after knowing him a few hours.
Han Leia and Luke should have been shown together in the first movie. What chemistry they had wasn't put to any use. Complete rubbish.

You forgot how Leia ignored Chewi completely and talked first to a complete and useless strange .... our beloved Mary Sue :) .

reply

Nope, I haven't forgotten that dopey scene. There's a possibility that Abrams will fix that scene with a good explanation and the last Jedi mess in Episode 9, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yar Yar Abrams explaining something? He never ever did that, cause ... he doesnt have the smallest clue what he is doing.

There's no need for a connection when the story is written around a Mary Sue, Rey didnt even meet Poe until the end of the second movie!
