George Lucas must be so dissapointed in the Sequels

Sounds a lot like the kind of faint praise one would expect from someone who signed a non-disparagement clause in exchange for his $4 billion check.

I get that Star Wars fans do not like The Last Jedi, but the prequels did not get any better because of it.

Anakin the pilot prodigy, Anakin the immaculate conception, Anakin the little kid with a crush, Anakin the immature whiner, Anakin the self confessed murderer of women an children, Anakin the murderer of defenseless younglings, Anakin the creepy leering sociopath, Anakin the egotistic jerk, Anakin the universal mamas boy, Anakin the wife abuser .... Anakin cannot be redeemed in the Return of the Jedi because there was no good in him to begin with. If angels fall the furthest, Anakin Skywalker fell from a step stool.

All that and Jar Jar Binks, midi-chlorians, the "prophesy", and more. These films ruined Star Wars. The sequels are just loading on the already festering wound brought by George Lucas. The truth is that no one really gives a damn about Star Wars fans. They make the films they want to make, and Star Wars fans keep coming to the theaters even if what is made is garbage when compared to what good writers with canon in mind could have made.
