Anyone else think there should be no more than one duel in a SW movie?

I'm not saying we should only see one scene with a lightsaber in it. There can be a few scenes with sabers in them, but I think there should only be one major duel in a star wars movie, as it adds true significance to them.

One major duel in a movie and that's it.

All the OT movies and TFA had only one duel, and that trend should continue.

I know both Finn and Rey took on Kylo Ren but I consider that one duel as they were together in the same scene, just like Obi and Qui-Gon vs Maul.

I think there shouldn't be any Mary Sue in a Star Wars movie. Lightsaber duel are now completely irrelevant since an untrained scavenger can become Jedi master in the blink of an eye, just like that. Oh wait she focused one second and a half, there was that familiar music, and boom, instant-Jedi.

Because of the Awakening. That's what happens when the Force awakens in someone. The rush of all skills. It's like Lucy. She started to use all brain capacity, not just 20%, after the drug spilled into her blood system.

I don't care whether Awakening is unsatisfying explanation or not. It's an explanation for Rey's super speedy learning. So all Mary Sue complaints should be taken to the Force and it's decision to awake from its slumber.

Awakening = Insta-Jedi = Mary Sue, that's not how the Force works. This is kiddie cartoon material.

It's still a better explanation than mind-wipe. I can't believe some fantards were arrogant enough to think that mind-wipe is better storytelling or better idea. It's the biggest shyt ever.

Why try to find explanation when the answer is obvious. It's just terrible writing that belongs to teenage girls fanfiction forums. Kathleen Kennedy wanted a typical Disney feminist heroine, therefore she must be stronger than anyone else, even if she hasn't worked or trained. You're trying to rationalize a stupid script.

I think there should be more than one duel. But since they prematurely wiped out Luke's new jedi order in an attempt to recapture the OT and reduced the Sith to two people again, there's not many jedi and sith to fight each other.

Good...no more hocus pocus nonsense that ruined star wars movies after empire strikes back. Return of the jedi was awful because it shoved han and leia into glorified props while the jedi plot was shoved down our throats. In empire strikes back it felt like han and leia were the heart with luke secondary...but Lucas had to put jedi over actual characters we can relate to

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
