Empire strikes back never had a cantina scene...which gave the film real humanity...people need to stop trying to turn star wars into a lifeless cartoon like the clone wars...TFA put them in their proper place...the background
shareEhh..You do realize that Empire Strikes Back had some of the best creatures and plot relevant I might add, not just eye candy in the whole series. It had the Taun Tauns, Wampa and the Space SLug.
Your rant seems to be misplaced or at least you misinterpreted my post. I do not mean diversity of species, we already have that, What I mean are creatures, like the ones mentioned above and as seen in some of the other movies
I agree. But the real problem in TFA was that the creatures weren't memorable. The 'monster scene' with the rathars is very stale in comparison with other moments in the film. It would be more effective if for example we had only seen tentacles coming out of random holes grabbing the gang members one by one, or something like that, mirroring the trash compacter scene where we only see the monster's eye. Instead we got a run of the mill CGI monster we have seen a million times before. Better design+ more clever usage of monster = necessary in 8

We did get those flying spaghetti monsters in The Force Awakens.
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
Everyone is an alien in Star Wars.
shareGiant roaches, flies, dragons, opossums, rhinos.
