Rey or Finn must turn bad.

One of them will turn to the dark side, they have to. Gotta keep it interesting. Poe will fill that void and be the "good" sidekick that Han was.

But given Finn already dabbled with the bad guys, we can assume it will be Rey

reply

I would love for Rey to turn bad, if only to show that she is fallible.

Flip flopping will turn Star Wars into a joke - "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will". Only it won't, everyone has a wee shot at it before seeing "the light". The fact that Anakin was able to do so was supposed to be a huge deal, something given Yoda's chat which was completely unforeseeable.

If all jedi in Disney's new Star Wars start flip flopping now, I can pretty much already see the SNL skits with "hey wait, I thought you were bad? Are you good now? Me? I was good, but now I'm bad!" Cue canned laughter...

Rey isn't a Jedi. She's just now realizing her force abilities. She's young and vaulernable to any path.

Its an interesting possibility, but maybe in this trilogy its not about someone being seduced to the dark side, but rather Kylo being turned back to the good side(?)

We can only hope that is the case. Personally, I'd love that. For one thing, it would mean Han didn't die for nothing, because even though he had to die to do it, he would ultimately have succeeded in helping to save his son.

2 Reasons neither of them will flip to the dark side.

1) No way will Disney make one of their Disney Princesses evil.Especially the first lead Jedi of their newly purchased franchise.

2) Finn just escaped the First Order, and there is no reason for him to think it would be a better place for him especially now that he's not only a defector, but has become a part of the First Order's enemy.
