Anybody think there is a chance there might be a 30 second trailer or something to entice fans during the Super Bowl? I just know that usually some movies try to take advantage of the huge audience. Spiderman-Homecoming, Logan, Power Rangers, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 have already been released. I just think that it would be a good way to generate peak interest. Thoughts?
shareMy guess, just mine, is that they will debut the trailer at Star Wars Celebration in April.
Now, we may get some nuggets the next few months. I believe the marketing campaign has already begun.
Rian Johnson was interviewed recently, and he dropped some small details.
It will be things like this. Maybe some stills will be revealed leading up to Celebration, then the marketing will really kick in.
Rogue One will be released on blu-ray around that time, which will officially end its theatrical run.
This is just my thinking.
If Disney wasted money on a spot for Lone Ranger, I'm sure we'll get something for Star Wars. Nothing fancy, just a title card will do. We'll talk about that on here for months.
