Alec Guiness in episode 8.

Yes or No?

reply

i don't think they should do that, considering how he felt about Star Wars in the end.

imo

reply

Yes or No?
No.

reply

Maybe he'll say "Rey" again like he did in TFA.

reply

No he is not needed even as a force ghost we can use the other guy from the prequels.

reply

No. Obi-Wan shouldn't appear as a ghost at all.

Perpetual outrage is the most popular religion today.

reply

Even if they wanted to do a Tarken-esque rendition, they probably would not be able to as they would have the secure permission from Guinness's estate and given his general hatred for Star Wars, I don't see that happening.

reply

No.

Use McGreggor.

reply

McGregor is young Obi-Wan. Guiness is old Obi-Wan. Period. Even McGregor acknowledges this.

McGregor will most likely appear only in a spinoff or flashback. As for a Force ghost, I feel we'll only hear a voice at most, if he comes back at all as a ghost.

Perpetual outrage is the most popular religion today.

reply

I'd be good with that. His voice did appear in TFA, after all.

reply

Of course he will. Rey will ask Luke to train her. He will say no because of what happened to Kylo. Luke will go off to a corner of the island and consult the Force ghosts of Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin. They will tell him to stop feeling guilty, get off his rear end and get in the fight.

They will have to use a CGI Alec Guinness of course as well as a CGI Sebastian Shaw

reply

Don't you mean Hayden Christensen? That ROTJ last shot was retconed to be him instead of Sebastian Shaw.
