I think Russell was be FAR the worst Santa. Yellow hair, and did not come across as loving. All the other Santas did.
shareI thought that exact. same. thing. Nice guy and everything, but he looks like one of those Santa's that you find at one of those sketchy outlet malls. He looks like he has given up in life.
shareGiven better circumstances, Russell is probably a great guy. It just seems to me that we see a low point in his life, and it's not an uncommon story for non-Santas. Near retirement, laid off, can't find a stable job, financially struggling, and pissed off at the world that passed him by. Just the financial stress can turn anyone sour in a short time.
What troubled me most was his health and eating habits - the other guys were overweight, but still very mobile and not downing doughnuts and fudge sundaes. Stress eating plus Santa's sweet tooth and a sedentary lifestyle looks to be getting the better of him. Not saying he's giving up, but there just isn't the pep in his step that some of the other guys had.
