Appreciate attempt at ending...but

I enjoyed this movie and thought it was powerful. There are those that are bashing Avery's character for realizing and feeling remorseful for her actions. Clearly, she needs to be held accountable for all her actions. However, I do also think that bullying will never improve unless we also acknowledge the bully's root problems. So if this was happening in real life it would be positive that a bully was taking responsibility and changing their life. It would be one less bully in the world.

However, this is real life and unfortunately it was somewhat unrealistic that she did change, or try to, immediately after seeing video. Not because bullies cant change or feel bad about their actions. It is because of the "specific" things that Avery did to her on a daily basis. Its one thing to tease or harass another student, but Avery took this to a place that even I thought was too dark. She seemed to have a sadistic type of reaction to bullying her constantly. Not to mention, did anyone else notice Jessica never once retorted or did anything to antagonize Avery. Actually some people (like Avery) get even MORE pissed off if you dont react to them, resulting relentless attacks. Something as brutal and psychological as this is stemming from something very disturbing in her childhood. I seriously dont believe a bully that is that serious with the attacks can just switch on a lightbulb and change after seeing footage. Maybe not even feel bad first. That takes loooong counseling.

I thought the same thing. It was way too intense for her to be so shocked by her actions.

Yah, I agree.. There was nothing passive aggressive about her bullying, she was just flat out malicious..
