So, I'm gathering this show was originally a BBC production, and it's just being shown now here in the US on Travel Channel, but there were 2 other seasons. When I saw commercials for it, I thought it was a new show, never saw it or heard about it before. It's good, and I'm hoping Travel Channel will air the first two seasons as well!
shareSeasons 1 and 2 were made for BBC America. After season 2, the show was bought by Travel Channel who then commissioned a 3rd season. They are also airing the old season 1 and 2 episodes.

You are referring to the UK broadcaster for seasons 1 and 2. The OP is from the U.S. where the first 2 seasons aired on BBC America. The OP is only discovering the show now because it did not previously air on Travel Channel. Currently, Travel owns the U.S. rights to all three seasons and has aired episodes from all 3.
