curious if this got the axe

I don't think so. Scott Wolter has been on a few radio shows recently and he hasn't mentioned anything like that. Plus, if H2 follows their usual schedule, season four should start next month.

It appears to have been cancelled because there's been no news about it, and H2 has been shutdown.
