Vote here for worst episode...

My vote goes to the season finale, Episode 1x15: Hunt for the Holy Grail, although I haven't seen the whole series. Yes, the Holy Grail was definitely buried there, because Scott didn't find anything which proves someone must have moved it.

I'd hate to see this guy on a jury trial. He's the only person on the planet for whom the Chewbacca Defense actually MAKES SENSE (just YouTube it).

Before this show gets cancelled though, I WOULD like to see a crossover episode between America Unearthed and Ancient Aliens. Was it the Templars? Was it Ancient Aliens? Or was it Ancient Templar Aliens? Watch Scott and Giorgio battle it out for the honors of "Worst Logical Argument" and "Best Indiana Jones Outfit."

It is hard to pick the worst. Mystery of Roanoke was ridiculous. He shows a large number of stone carvings supposedly done by a person on the run from hostile forces and never questions the amount of time and highly developed level of skill necessary to produce these. Also, the various tablets were obviously carved by different people when one compares the different carving techniques and quality of workmanship. Really insipid show. Robert Winslow, stone carver.

reply

Being a person living in modern times, you have access to pens and pencils. The people who would have carved those stones if the carvings are from Roanoke did not. It also requires very little skill. To carve into a rock, you need: A rock, some tools and a decent amount of strength.

Personally I feel the entire show as a whole is so bad, that voting for just a single episode is an insult to science...

reply

Agreed!

Seconded!

this show is awesome
if your treating it as a comedy
it beats any current sitcom

I would say the show about the new world order having a complex under the Denver Airport had to be as looney as anything I've seen on HC. His 'source' was some conspiracy nut who "heard" about a complex underneath the airport's underground system. The guy then digs down about 6 inches and tells the guy the geology is right for that kind of construction.

reply

no, it was the fact that he could just walk up and ask for a tour or the REAL underground and get it, that was false;

Do you really think they would let that jerk (or anyone) into this top secret complex?

of course not! But the idiot thought that he "proved" that there was no secret underground! what a 'tard!

reply

Agreed.

My vote goes to the one I just finished watching, "Grand Canyon Treasure". Mr. Wolter should be ashamed of himself.

The one where two young guys from Oklahoma found markings on rock near an Oklahoma river. The host decides it's ancient Celtic writing and goes to Dublin to compare it to known Celtic writing and speaks to an expert there. The expert tells him it really doesnt look anything like Celtic writing, so the host ignores him, returns to the US and finds another site in Oklahoma with scratchings on a cave wall and declares it to be proof that ancient Irishmen were in Oklahoma. The prospect of local kids drinking and doodling in the caves isnt up for discussion.
This show is the worst excuse for a science program I've ever seen, although the fake mermaid and megolodon documentaries were really bad.

reply

What about the ancient/pre-historical bath house in Pennsylvania? That's actually a spring house from the 1800s?

reply

Dear doctorc1970:

Did you not know that Scott Wolter IS ALWAYS RIGHT?

He is science personified!

reply

All of them.

reply

Agreed, all of them.

That includes future episodes.

A stitch in time, saves your embarrassment.

I'm sitting here dumbfounded.....

I just watched "Egyptian Treasure in Grand Canyon" and "new World Order under Denver"

I've never seen a more blatant example of leaps of "logic", double talk, pseudoscience, I mean....

Forensic Geologist? Forensic...Ge......ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

I just walked outside and proved UFOs have landed in my driveway. 10 minutes and a tape measure. All I needed. I mean, it'll hold a 30ft saucer and when I looked up I could see Sirius. So, what's the big deal? This is easy....

If I had only watched 1 episode I could tell you worst one. But since I've seen 2 episodes, I can't.

reply

No actually I have seen far worse! There was a show a year or two back that used to take one single thing and throw a hail Mary across continents, get there, and throw another hail Mary on something else and always end the show with "This could be Excaliber" while holding a rusty cement rod. So this is not quite that bad.

reply

The one when he says he found evidence that President Barack Obama belongs to an ancient Muslim organization whose plans are to destroy Christianity and Mr Wolter's views of a white Christian America.

Say NO to crappy vampire love stories such as the Twilight movies!

reply

That never happened

I can't vote on a single episode because one would need to watch them all to make it scientific. Something this show obviously knows nothing about. So I'm going to vote for the whole series as a whole. Someone compared it to Ancient Aliens. I've never been able to make it through more than 5min of that show. This show, I've watched maybe 3 full episodes. I gave it a chance and will never watch another show again.
