I liked it...

I liked it well enough, especially considering these were only the first two episodes. I was surprised most of the messages on the board seem to people hating the show...

Did anyone else like it, or at least think it has potential?

I smell dark magic! It's a bit like burnt popcorn.

The wife and I watched it and it was pretty good, it will stay on since it's not a major network.

I didn't think it was too bad. There is room for improvement of course, but as tvland original series goes, it was decent.

reply

I liked it fine..although I could see Richards falling into a little Kramer-like behavior.

reply

I could like it, the premise has lots of opportunity for pathos but the laugh-track is over-whelming. They need to turn it down a couple of notches.

I thought it was fine for what it is. I think the actor who plays the son is appealing. I like the way he underplays the part a little. It will be interesting to watch his relationship with Maddy grow.

They had to get the situation set up. It will grow.

yeah it was ok, nothing great but potential is definitely there...

I find it funny that people say Richards is falling into his "kramer" role, he is actually acting the way Michael Richards acts... long before Kramer existed his acting was this way... when Kramer came along he took it to another level, and now I find that his character has Kramer like tendencies but is alot more like how he was before Kramer...

If it gets renewed I'll watch again, usually second seasons end up better than the first.
