You mean it "showed" his heart. Just because that's how he WAS, doesn't mean that's how he IS. He also publicly apologized after the incident. Look at Mike Tyson, people give him a second chance. He also had racist outbursts back in his crazy days, was a wife beater, etc... BTW, it is understandable why Michael Richards did what he did...was it right? NO, but it was understandable. Black people were heckling him and he lost his temper and started spewing racist remarks. The question is, was he doing it because he's a racist? Or was he doing it because he was trying to insult the black people who were heckling him? I know either way it's wrong but since it's understandable WHY he lost his temper I think it's forgivable.
"How could a non-racist say such racist things?" you might ask. Well, it's not hard to think it up on the spot is it? It doesn't mean goes around constantly thinking of how much he hates black people(which I am sure he doesn't.)
I see him more as a guy who had anger/temper problems than racist issues. The anger/temper problems turned racist in the moment because that's how he thought he could get back to them in that moment when he wasn't thinking clearly and the rage took him over. You think if white people heckled him he would have kept his cool and have been really nice to them and just ignored it? No, he would have went crazy at the white people, he may not have said racist remarks against the white people because it wouldn't work there but he would be trying his hardest to insult them any crazy way he could. Point is, he's likely not racist, just has(or had) temper problems.
