Jurassic Park references? SPOILER.

There were some scenes in this film that looked like they taken almost directly from Jurassic Park itself. For instance, when Jade hides in the basement area and then crawls into that little locked space, and the dinosaur (possibly a raptor, couldn't tell) looks over the counter where she's hiding - just like the kitchen scene in Jurassic Park. Among others.

I noticed an allusion to Jurassic Park as well (SPOILER):

When Doug is in a room (looks like a lab or medical room) hiding, after the dinosaur comes in and eats him, there's a container that says "Dodgson" and "06/09/93." In Jurassic Park, Dodgson is the one who gives Dennis Nedry those tubes of embryos hidden in a can of shaving cream. Also, Jurassic Park was released on 06/11/93. Just found that allusion interesting.

Jurassic Park had it's premiere in Washington, D.C. on June 9, 1993... source, this very IMDB page. :-) There are other references on the bottle, pretty much everything is, but not all are JP. Care to take a stab at figuring them all out? ;-) JJL

The can didn't have the embryos in it yet. The can is how he'll sneak them out.

When Nedry is killed, the embryos are in the shaving can, and it drops into the mud and muck, never to be seen again.

Someone may have found it many years later and then the events this film happened. Never know.

Watching it now, and I just noticed that too.

I'm glad someone else spotted it, pretty nice Easter Egg for a B-movie.

It says on a container with samples or something: DODGSON D.N. CE3K 06/09/93
Obviously a nod to Jurassic Park, and implying even that the two movies are in the same universe- and that Dodgson sold the dinosaur DNA to more than one corporation. You know he sent in a team to get that shaving cream can...it was easy money.

I thought JP came out on 6-11-93 but, I could be wrong.
