Test pattern and other careless scenes

Did anyone see the test pattern at about forty-four minutes in as if someone had accidentally pressed a button on the camera while filming and they did not bother to take it out?

Seriously, this is the first time I had ever seen a test pattern superimposed on a movie take in the middle of the movie - as well as remaining for at least a couple minutes or so. It was one of those "what the----?" moments that rarely reaches that extreme as if the people who made it could not even be bothered with a minor edit. I almost expected to see a blank screen for several minutes as well as that old countdown sequence at the beginning of films somewhere in the midst of the driving scenes.

The other very careless scenes I found amusing are related to when a sudden wind approaches the reporter and her camera man and they actually just dissolve into thin air before the periphery of the storm is upon them. This happens again later on to another victim.
