Very pleasantly surprised!
This movie really was done very well. Pacing and acting were both solid, and the scares were creepy. Hardly any jump scares; just a steady buildup. I really enjoyed it.

why do horror movies get rated so low ?
I guess it still considered a pulp genre. But it also doesn't get the artistic support it deserves. When a good director is at the helm of a horror movie, the movie can become a classic.
