Realistically, he was a psycho killer rather than a hitman since his boss didn't exist. He had been randomly killing folks for a while before Annie's death though, right?

Yes. He's been killing people for most of his life.

I'm confused to when he started killing. Was Christopher the first guy? They kind of eluded that he was violent before then
