Thanks,that was a good song but not the one I was thinking. It's a man singing it, it starts with a whistle, says something about 'you were almost famous', and then says 'yes you were'

I have goggled it every way I can think of and not enough of it plays for my phone to locate it.

Anyone have an idea? It's very catchy.
