Character Driven

I thoroughly enjoy this show. The main character is the driving comedic force. He is un apologetic, irreverent, a-moral and unusually lovable. If apathy is the opposite of love, not hate , one can either love or hate this character. Apathy is out of the question. At a less than cerebral level, he serves as a barometer for the moral judgements of his orbit of friends and enemies. The tag line is a life lesson that we all should be mindful. Greg Kinnear plays this character with an absolute sense of comfort. It seems as if he shares some key human traits with his character or he has mastered this portrayal at an award winning level..

I hope the "to serious for their own good"crowd or the "morality police" do not destroy this show. It is simple, fun and harmless.
