Did Daniel kill himself or was it an accident?

Either way it's sad.

You don't know me from Adam's Housecat!

I was fascinated by Anna Nicole Smith when she was alive (I love MM, and it was like watching history repeat itself...sort of. ANS didn't have the movie career and fame MM achieved, but there were lots of other similarities, imo.)

Anyhow, I just watched this movie on LMN and I thought the Danny scene was poorly done...it made it look as if he was deliberately killing himself to spite his mother ("Oh btw, who IS the father, MOM?)

I think IRL, Danny loved his mother very very much, and wouldn't have killed himself.

That being said, it had to be awful to have ANS as a mother. Watching your own mom act like a hooker on camera had to confuse and warp his mind as a young boy. The repeated alcohol and drug binges, the constant moving, knowing that probably most of his peers were looking at his mother as a sex object had to be excruciatingly hard for him.

I read he hated to fly. I ALSO remember that right after the baby was born, Howard K Stern claimed HE was the father. In fact, he went on tv (some show; I should provide a link...maybe I'll come back and put it in) and said he and Anna were lovers and had been for some time. Then there was that bizarre wedding-that-wasn't-a-wedding that he and Anna had on a boat literally the DAY after her release from the hospital.

Ok, so where am I going with all this? When Stern came on tv, he looked, in my opinion, high on opiates. I remember this so clearly; he was wearing the baseball cap backwards (which I thought was odd for him; being an attorney and all--not that backwards caps mean that someone is automatically on drugs,) he had really bad cotton mouth and seemed loopy. I wonder if HE wasn't taking Vitamin M and shared them with Daniel.

It goes to show how horrible addiction is and how much it just destroys everyone its wake.
