Stuckmann says it's BORING, Dull and Depressing

Chris Stuckmann is one reviewer that I really trust. He really hated this movie.

It's 95% dull and moody soap opera with 5% action. What the hell was the studio thinking?

He graded the movie a D- calling it as boring as watching paint dry.

reply

Chris Stuckmann is a lame fanboy who's reviews are dull and non-interesting. I wouldn't listen to what he says. He gives DragonBall Z movies A's.

reply

I agree with you thoughts on Stuckman, but I saw Gunman at a pre screening last night and I gotta agree with almost everything he said (going off that post above, i haven't seen his full review) There is almost no action in it and its extremely boring.

reply

Besides employing questionable actors, it had a script that was beyond bad.

Seriously? Both you and some reviewer I never heard of must have fallen asleep while watching it, because there was plenty of hardcore, exciting action throughout this entire flick. So what if there wasn't s*** exploding every five minutes? The film was a lot of things, but I was never bored for a single second. I also liked the use of the fact that Penn's character was sick and aging---that's something you don't usually see in films about assassins. The only other film I can think of which portrays a partially disabled hitman is the Dutch film MEMORY OF A KILLER, about a hitman who's getting something close to Alzheimers.

reply

Penn is a dick.

reply

Not only is your statement that he gives Dragonball Z movies As an ad hominem, but it's virtually a non-sequitur.
Dragonball Z is a WHOLLY different thing than a Hollywood live-action movie.

^JeremyJahns agrees. These are the few online critics that you can actually trust. He called it boring as can be and said he actually "checked his watch 58 times during this movie."

reply

Now everyone says as much. Thank goodness this movie tanked.

reply

what about the Schmoes, what did they think?

haven't seen it yet but Schmoes, Stuckmann and Jahns reviewed Unfinished Business and all hated it.

I believe them, they saved me money.

Stuckmann is smart. Jahns and Flickpick to it for comedy, the others do it and go into more detail as to why some movies are bad.

I miss TV shows like At The Movies. These Internet blogs all run together.

reply

Yet, a few of them get it right ALA Ebert, Roeper, etc.

chris stuckmann is right...it was a very boring snoozefest...but still better than Spectre...
