Have a Lot of Respect for the Amish

We appreciate how they take care of one another unlike in our "English" community where it is every one for him/herself. This is why our society is collapsing and it is unfortunate it is rubbing off into the Amish communities as well.
If a barn burns down in an Amish community the whole town gets together and builds it for that person within a matter of days to two weeks. They help one another build each others' houses at least in our state.

Everything that is Amish made is made to exacting standards and with high quality reflecting their Swiss and Germanic roots. They are excellent craftsmen.

Also like how they do not waste. They live relatively in harmony with the Earth and do not defile it and pollute it like has been happening around the world since the industrial revolution began. They take care of God's creations, unlike most people.

And that leads to their producing high quality food without chemicals or toxins. Our family buy's their chicken every week that is produced in a farm in Indiana and it is without a doubt the best. We also trust it not to be produced using the terrible English husbundry techniques of hormones, antibiotics and chemical GMO feeds.

You can generally trust Amish food to be pure just like you could if it came from Switzerland.

Someday in the future, perhaps not too far we'll be taking advice on how to live from the Amish because they had it right all along and oil is running out.
They were doing it right all along and now more and more people are starting to realize that.

Even though theyve been lied to and manipulated and are constantly controlled by a bunch of religious "elders"?

Such a loving community..."Do what we say and dont question it or we'll shun you..VERY progressive."

I'm sure their attitude towards cancer or other terminal diseases would be a great ...pray and god will fix it.

Have you ever actually been to an amish dentist?

Theres plenty of "english" places with "pure" foods too by the way and many ways to NOT rely on oil...

I love the way they pick and choose which of the modern technologies benefit them the most LOL. They may seem worthy of respect, but if anyone looks much beyond the surface they are just another stupid cult.

I guess you missed the part where these guys said they weren't baptized so they are allowed a certain amount of amenities and duties the others aren't. Notice the cars are kept away until particularly needed. Jolin is a mennonite so not bound to the Amish rules. What's more it is not "technology" they avoid. It is anything that makes them dependent on others or the outside world. For example they might adopt solar panels or wind generators someday if they are able to learn to build and maintain them.

What you don't understand is having electricity, piped in water, piped in gas makes you vulnerable beyond denial because you are at the mercy of all kinds of factors not under your control from disasters, to fake brownouts (like happened in California in the early 2000s) to price gouging utility companies.

Really? You have a British passport too? Have you ever even been to England? No I doubt it. You are NOT the actual English.

Of course someone had to bring up Religion. I am not talking about their social structure that needs to be improved, I am talking about their way of LIFE.

They aren't progressive at all, women aren't exactly treated very equally. I never mentioned anything about progressive. If anything they are preservationist. I did mention that. The ways they preserved we may have to (and many are already wanting to) learn all over again. Again I mentioned nothing about their social structure.

You think the conventional medicine in the US has a good atititude about cancer? "Oh lets nuke the person and by practically destroying their body we destroy the cancer too." The modern US practices utter quackery when it comes to cancer.
Does this make you laugh? Really? Obviously you're ignorant. Then why is itour medicine makes people sicker and kills 100s of thousands each year? (look up the statistics of accidental hospital deaths each year - they are literally death factories) Also known as Alopathy (look that up too) it only treats symptoms not causes of the diseases. Don't know what I am talking about? Look up the recent meningitis outbreak that was caused by injections people were getting made by a certain pharmaceutical company. Also look up how the chief of Glaxo admitted that pharmaceuticals don't work on 80% of the patients. Go ahead look it up. Our health care system is a racket all the way up to the hacks in the FDA. Why is it that because of the overuse of antibiotics EVERYWHERE more virulent forms of bacteria are starting to appear, such as flesh eating necrotic bacteria?

Our dentists are quacks too using toxic fluoride and toxic mercury amalgams. (yes look that up too). Fortunately there are many that are avoiding that lately.

No, I highly doubt you are actually English. You'd know that about Glaxo if you were.

My point that you haven't countered whatsoever is an increasing number of people are gaining a higher respect for Amish. It is so many that it is possible this show is a slight against them, as if to say, "See you don't want to be like these people they are just as screwed up as we are." I don't buy it.
