Destroying Evidence

So Caleb decided to report to the cop that Levi was smuggling drugs but destroyed the evidence. Caleb your not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Yeah, and the cop then just gives Caleb info. Maybe since he figured he lost his chance to take Levi down, he figured Caleb might as well be the one to do it. Yeah, Caleb, that wasn't a very smart move, but he sure did benefit from it!

(if we pretend for a second that it was a real life situation)

The moment Caleb showed the drugs to a cop - the cop could've arrested him for a possession. Seems like Caleb already has a long criminal record, so for him to convince a judge and jury that he "found the drugs" wouldn't go too well.

Of course, I hadn't thought of that! I'm sure you're right. I guess Caleb must be smarter than I gave him credit for lol!

I thought about this as well mamie-lou, after seeing this episode, and that Caleb had made the right move (Assuming this were a real life situation).

I'm not a legal expert, but I don't think the drugs that Caleb found would have held up as evidence in a court of law regardless. Someone could have easily planted the drugs, said that they found them in a horse that was sold by Levi, and then presented them as evidence to the constable. And yes, if the constable wanted to, he could have arrested Caleb on possession charges.

It would be the same as someone going to a cop, and handing them drugs, saying that they were that of someone else (In an attempt to frame someone) and saying that they found it on the premises of that person. I just don't see how that could fly?
