Cranston typecast

Is he always going to play the bad guy with a good side from now on? I love Mr. Cranston, but time to expand his roles or I'm afraid he might get forgotten after a one hit wonder.

reply

What are you talking about? He's played two bad guys. This Russian guy and Heisenberg. And you know what? Cranston plays bad good. So STFU.

"YOU WANT THEM TO DO TRICKS!?!? I WANT THEM TO DROP OVER!!!!!!!"

reply

he was the badguy in the total recall remake too

reply

yeah, but no one saw that so it's okay. lol

Typecast? What are you talking about... He went from Malcolm's goofy dad to Heisenberg, a teacher who cooked meth. In this movie he was a blind Russian criminal.

Even if Cranston was ONLY in Breaking Bad, he would never in a million friggin' years be considered a "one hit wonder..." BB is already being hailed as one of the greatest TV shows of all time with Cranston delivering what many say is one of the best performance by an actor in a TV show... He could get struck by lightning at this moment and be remembered forever as a brilliant actor and that is nothing but the truth.

Cranston has been working for decades. Most of his roles were good guys, funny guys, and average Joe's.

Being a character actor with a respected body of work and range, I don't think he ro the people that hire him are worried about typecasting.
