Stupid, but cute. (Warning: contains some scene info, but no spoiler)

The cat was a product of bad casting. Fat cat with no personality. Animal shelters are full of cats with much more personality. Cat casted was a nice cute kitty though.
The movie might have been more popular, and believable had they thrown in a little sexual confusion of one or both boys, at least in undertones, and would have fit in better with what the cat last said. They had a perfect opportunity, possibly by comparing the reaction of [spoiler) tutor when girl put her hand on his, verses what could've been added to the swimming lesson. In a serious way, not necessarily comedic.
[spoiler]They could cut the CGI in the scene of the cat healing. It would've been better had we used our imagination.
Much of the whole movie lacked the imagination that it was trying to create.
But it was a well done high school video project.
