STUPID CASTING: Mom looks like 35, older kids around 25.

If they wanted to do a realistic found footage film, they should've casted an older woman for the mom part, or some younger kids, cause I was completely distracted about this.

The actress that played the mom looked at most 35, 36 years old, even younger (and I gotta say, I really liked her). Older son and daugther were clearly around 25.

The film? Well, it was Blair Witch with bad pacing, average acting and some weird bright lights and weird sounds to make you scare. The aliens? Barely seen them, I was expecting a full close encounter.

5/10 Boring and dissapointing. And I'm a junkie for this kind of films.

At first my wife kept confusing the female roles. She thought they might have been friends or sisters, but then it *kind of* became apparent that they were mother/daughter. The daughter was reasonably cute tho.

Oh... you could see them, in-between all of the intentional pixelation and distortion. It would make sense that their hufos would generate this kind of magnetic distortion, but not the beings themselves. So simply showing the aliens without all of this distortion would be a bad thing? From what I could tell, they looked like the Greys that everyone knows and loves soooo, why all the hiding? This is pretty much what killed it for me. Well, that and the hillbilly cliché, er, I mean actor.

I paused it about an hour in and the wife wants to finish watching it... maybe I'll be doing some extra multitasking at that time. :-\

hillbilly cliché

I've known hillbillys to look and sound exactly like that. As far as clichés go, I was actually surprised that he turned out to be a decent guy, who wanted to help the family (after it became clear that they weren't just trespassing), and not, you know, shoot them, or rape them, or wear their skin...

The best characters in this film were Sean and his dog :D Honestly couldn't care less what happened to anyone else!
