Scared me...

A lot of people don't like this movie here it seems. You have to suspend a certain amount of disbelief, but I found it very effective at ratcheting up the tension. It scared me. I thought it worked well. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it kept me interested and on edge.

I think people are being too picky by some of the complaints. Going on about the camera, how it couldn't have happened like that. I just enjoyed the effect of it being sucked up then falling down. This isn't a movie to take seriously for heaven's sake, it's supposed to creep you out and it did that for me. The main thing that took me out of the story was the girl screaming when she should have been quiet and the use of the flashlights. But obviously we wouldn't have a movie if we can't see what's happening.

Someone claimed here that this movie was filmed by 12 year olds. What an idiotic statement.

I hear what you're saying. It wasn't as good as Dark Skies and I'd definitely love to see some real quality, creepy, high budget alien movies.

I'm a little creeped out by grey aliens, so I was probably affected by the movie more just because of that. I had a dream once where I was in my room and there were two greys there and one walked out into the living room where my roommate was sleeping and the other was at my open bedroom door. That's all I remember, but I woke up so terrified, I've had a lot of nightmares, but never that sheer level of absolute terror on awakening. I ran out into the living room to see if my roommate was actually still there and then I stayed in the living room, too terrified to go back the few feet in our small apartment to my own room.

I wasn't into aliens or ufos, never thought about them, and don't say this was more than a dream, but the terror was like nothing I'd experienced before. So anyway, I was definitely probably more sensitive to it. I got hooked at the tunnel sequence in the film.

Actually, the boy, Riley, was only 11. -_^

(I know, I know, it's not real).

While most of the film was crap, I was unnerved by a.) the ending when you hear people being vivisected and b.) the sheer hopelessness of the whole film.
