The fate of the family... (MAJOR SPOILERS)

Ok its apparent that the mother was probably killed with her neck and back broken, but what about everyone else? When the police found the dad a year later, they say 'Here's another one. Its the father.' Given that over 20 people were abducted, that was an awfully specific thing to say. It seems that at least two other family members may have been returned.
