Holy *beep*, First Period is possibly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. We always show our friends scenes from the movie and never want to stop watching once we start.
Anyway, we were on a bad movie binge and ended up watching Teen Witch. When that "Top That!" rap scene started we flipped our *beep*. Please tell me that scene was the inspiration for the rap battle in First Period!
And please tell me you're going to make a sequel.

The rap battle was 100% inspired by the ridiculous one in TEEN WITCH. "Top That" from TW became "I'M ON TOP" for FP. Brandon Alexander III ( Cassie ) wrote the screenplay, and Dudley Beene ( Maggie ) wrote the rap battle and several of the songs used in the film. HEATHERS, TEEN WITCH, PRETTY IN PINK, HAIRSPRAY, etc all served as inspiration in some way ( a few of them being more heavy handed ).
As for the further adventures of Cassie and Maggie, the team ( Brandon, Dudley, and myself, Charlie --Director ) are currently putting together a package as a series, and if that doesn't pan out, a sequel ( tentatively titled FIRST PERIOD: SUMMER CRAMPS ), where our girls go to camp.
Lastly, if you DO own a DVD player, currently Amazon has ridiculously low prices on the DVD, which includes Special Features like commentary, a few deleted scenes, a Making Of Featurette, and a deleted song.

Omg that just made me so happy to hear! More please! This movie is brilliant. I have watched this movie about a dozen times and it gets funnier every time, and I have recommended it to anyone who will listen to me... I am a huge fan!
