Still beating this dead horse?

Documentaries about George Romero already exist. Maybe they were interesting back when Romero made decent films. I've got respect for the man, but he is of an era long gone and this story has already been told.

So?

As you wish.

George Romero made 3 good films in his career, Night, Dawn and Day. The rest is utter garbage. Land, Diary and Survival are utterly abysmal, worse than an "Asylum" movie. The man is overrated and no horror master.

reply

Incorrect. "Creepshow" is amazing, "Martin" is quite good and "The Crazies" is a solid low budget flick (with an even better remake).

Try watching more of his films or doing some research before spouting nonsense. Creepshow is easily better than Day for one thing.

But They have asked him to film a special episode of The Walking Dead.

The Romero episode.

That would be cool.

"Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that"

I agree.

Night and Dawn are classics, but Romero clearly was a one trick pony.

I'll watch this anyway since NOTLD is my favorite horror flick.

Again, "Creepshow". One of the greatest (if not THE greatest) Horror Anthologies of all time

Tales From The Crypt (1972) for me.

what about your top 5 horror anthologies?

I don't get why anyone would complain about a documentary for covering something that has arguably been covered. Who cares? It's not like you are immersed in the same crap documentaries with no escape. I haven't seen one before this, and this one has fairly recent footage, including the ending covering the graveyard zombie spending some of his remaining days hanging out at zombie walks. I think that was worth the watch in itself. I'm bummed I never met him before he passed away.

I enjoyed the doc, and I also enjoyed Land of the Dead, The Crazies, and Monkey Shines. I thought Day of The Dead, Dawn and Night are all classics. I grew up with Night Of The Living Dead, and it's fun to reminisce about it. It was cool seeing the kids watching it too, as that was my reaction as well, and I'm glad kids are allowed to watch it in class, because my mom got crap for letting me watch it.

I also don't think Survival or Diary were that awful either. Zombie fans can often appreciate the message of those films, and some of the more memorable moments. Like the aquarium shot which was an idea that was somewhat reused for The Walking Dead. Romero is always going to be an iconic filmmaker.

We all have our favorite films, directors, and what not but every list is different. No one will share your favorite movie list down to every last film, unless they are a brown noser.

People complain about documentaries, yet go and watch every single *beep* Marvel movie there is. If there is anything that had been beaten to death, its Marvel and superheroes in cinema in general. The most annoying and overrated, overhyped thing ever in history of cinema. Zzzzzz
