This should be a special feature

This should be a special feature on a 45th anniversary re-release of the film on blu-ray or something. It's too short to be a stand alone movie, in my opinion.

reply

Possibly, but kind of doubtful.
Most bonus features are 5 - 15 min.
This doc is 76 min.
which is only a bit shorter than most full length films.

reply

Actually, nowadays many new releases have feature length documentaries. Some over 3 hours long. I think this would be a major selling point as a special feature on brand new transfer of the film.

reply

Not necessarily. The tenth anniversary DVD of "Clerks" had a 90 minute documentary about the making of the movie. It's not terribly uncommon for special editions of movies to feature lots of special features.

i didn't know before i saw this documentary that much of the dialogue was made up as they went, i love the "all messed up" line, that original line is cut and featured on a track on the cd "elvira presents revenge of the monster hits". the fact that they didn't have the budget to show the worldwide aspect of the reaction, but had to keep it at a tv screen in the farm house where they were isolated and got all their information from i thought was a good thing, it gives that real and intimate feeling instead of big blown up view with special effects and so on, and i just experienced the colorized version and it took the soul of the movie away. the translated subtitles i got on this had a typo when the woman is saying she was 12, 13 years old, subtitle says "i might have been 12, 23.". extraordinary the entire actual movie "night of the living dead" is featured as bonus material on the scandinavian release i got. "the last man on earth" is mentioned here, but wasn't "white zombie" with bela lugosi the original inspiration.

travel to your soil,
keeps me from fall,
leaving the chilly wind,
a messed up spot on earth to your home so sweet,
where i find spirits and strength,
from a distant the soul can be met,
stumbling in the dark lost at my lost home,
until you find me sailing to the light of your shore.
