Fascinating, disturbing, surprising.

I was really not expecting this film to uncover as many new clues and questions as it did, especially in the last few minutes. It was very well-made and informative. I'd like to recommend it to friends, but I'm concerned that they won't be able to see it.

A large component of this documentary deals with how information regarding the subjects it explores -- not only the Gary DeVore case, but the CIA's hand in Hollywood in general -- have been blocked by unknown forces time and time again, and I worry that the nature of the film may hinder distribution.

The director was good enough to stay in Toronto an extra day for the final screening to shed a little more light on his experiences in post-production during a Q&A:

- Their official website was blocked for a day by an IP address in L.A., and when they were able to restore it, all of the IP access information had been deleted.
- An individual who worked on the film had to leave the project and withdraw his name from the credits when he began to receive disturbing threats.
- Certain interviews had to be omitted from the film because they provided too much evidence of the CIA's involvement with Gary's death/disappearance, to the point that the filmmakers would have endangered themselves or their subjects.

Director William Westaway admitted to the audience at the screening: "I value my life slightly more than this film." While his concerns are valid, I hope that fear tactics don't prevent this documentary from reaching a larger audience.
