Why can't I find any information on her?

After watching the film, I tried googling both Amy Grantham as well as Carol Grantham. I even tried typing the name "Granthum" too see if I could find any information on this. I can't seem too find any information that relates to this. I wonder why? Or am I missing something? Has anyone else done any research?

It's fictional.

reply

No, it's supposedly based on a true story.

No it is NOT based upon a real event. It is based upon a fictional novel called,Undiscovered Gyrl.

The novel was written in the form of a diary, giving the illusion of being a true story, but it is 100% fictional.

I haven't seen the film, didn't even know they made one until just now, but I have read the novel and the end slams you pretty hard.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

I just saw the movie. Is it still worth reading the book if you've seen the movie? I would think it would be spoiled beyond salvage.

reply

They went beyond to make it seem like she is kidnapped. If it's made up shame on them. I am looking to see who did this movie and won't watch another. This is nothing to play with

reply

There is a title card in the opening credits that clearly states 'Based on the Novel Undiscovered Gyrl by Allison Burnett' that is on the screen easily for a five count. Hardly devious or deceptive, so shame on you for not reading.

Ompeace, your posts are really sick. Get a grip. This is a movie and like so many people have said, based on a fictional book. What the heck are you going around and ranting for about the movie makers playing us?! You sound insane. You almost sound
Iike you are upset that there is no really a girl who was kidnapped! Geez! Crazy person!

reply

YES!!!^^^ People are *beep* nuts these days with their obsession with "reality". This is certainly based on reality. If it makes you feel better, this kind of thing certainly has happened--but why THAT makes you feel better I don't know. Shame on YOU if your entertainment has to have a certified body count.

ALL fiction is based on reality. But fiction is BETTER than reality. It's more true and honest than reality. Oscar Wilde once said, "Give a man a mask, and he'll tell you the truth." Many years later, I once said, "Give a person a confessional 'blog' or a 'reality' show and he/she will lie his ass off and generally act as phony as humanly possible".

What's ironic is if a hot, underage girl did start a sex blog it would really get 1,000,000 followers and if she was also a complete moron who gets herself raped and murdered everyone would rush to see the "real-life movie". But really how much insight on life does a hot, underage moron have? It's vastly better something like this is fictional and written by a talented writer and portrayed onscreen by a hot and "barely legal" but also genuinely talented actress.

reply

You keep calling her a moron but in reality she wasn't dumb. ignorant but not dumb. and to say 'if she really was a moron who got herself raped and murdered..' is disturbing.

reply

Hate to break it to you, but star wars isn't real either

reply

She's not real.
