What's with the ending..?

I liked the movie. But i really don't like open endings where the viewer is left to assume what happens next. The plot with his betraying friend was also left open. All in all the movie was good, but the ending could have been better.

P.S: Apart from that they could have choreographed the last fight a little better. The Yugoslavian opponent went down too easily.

Well...

Director added a perfect ending... better than i was trying to predict in the whole movie...

First it does not matter what happens to Majid... thing he wanted us to see was that end of the day he was just another kid to his father who wanted his family to be proud of him and even when he knew he would get killed he used this fight as kind of his way to repent and give his father a moment to be proud of him...

Second going by the ability of director he was quite capable of producing a fascinating fight scene but again majid was interested in impressing only one person that is his father and ideally he would have wanted to finish the opponent in single punch... and a longer and more dramatic fight would have made the sound of opening of the door less scary and less effective for us... ideally this was the perfect he could do...

I would rate it as a 10/10 movie.. everytime i thought it would go normal way like other good movies i saw(I mean not average but very good movies) it took a new turn and thats what a great script is all about....

The ending was foreshadowed. You should pay attention to the conversation in the hospital between majid and his brother. His brother talks about heaven but Majid says he also knows where he is going followed by the same deep cut to black as the ending: Death, nothingness, ending. Great movie.
