Stupid Fun

Yes, you'll see someone giving this a very low rating and saying "this is the worst movie that I have seen." You'll always expect that with movies of this quality. But, I'm the guy that even enjoyed "Alien Apocalypse." It's not so much a matter of my taste as it is about me finding entertainment in cheese-fest films like this. I know what I'm getting myself into. I find these movies rather charming. And believe me, I've seen a LOT of bad movies and have loved a LOT of bad movies. The acting was horrible and over the top. The sound editing was also bad. The sound effects were cheap as *beep* The lighting was questionable. I could go on and on criticizing all of these things, but I won't. I loved the exchange of dialogue between Dave (the smut drawing main protagonist) and the devil. I thought it was semi-philosophical and funny as hell. I also enjoyed Dave's various reactions when interacting with every character (minus perhaps two). The real star of the show was the heart though. Hilarious accent and justifications. The gore was pretty good (there's nothing like seeing people you hate getting slaughtered by a heart with tentacles). There are even some worthy quotable lines here and there. Bottom-line is this; I found it fun with its slew of dark humour. As a fan of both Bruce Campbell and Troma and just bizarre *beep* in general, I have to say this one was a like a live-action comic book.

Agreed. This film was quite funny and enjoyable. I especially dug the wickedly amusing sense of inspired black humor and the sheer weirdness of the premise. Plus you just gotta like a flick in which a gal is yanked down a toilet while taking care of business.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

I completely agree with you on all counts. I have a hideously twisted sense humor and this movie appealed to my little black heart (pun totally intended lol) pretty much the moment Lucifer popped out of his shiny green disco ball rocking that snooty brit accent. The voice of the heart and Dave's chemistry with it in their back and forth bickering was hilarious. Other than the neighbors and the landlord who written so that you were meant hate them (and at least they died horribly to make for it) the only character i could have done without was Belial. As I stated i have a twisted sense of humor so the first time showed and kept offering to fart on dave while while hefapped made me laugh but it got old quick.

If there was anything I could complain about it's that i wish they'd done more with the tentacles since it was part of the title but given the apparent nonexistant budget they prolly did their best and i can respect that.
