Why would they make eggs like that


Why would you use a spatula (it was a low grade plastic one.) to beat the eggs, then use a fork to mix it in the pan. He just ruined that pan. If any thing it should have been the other way around.

 you can use any utensil in an iron skillet. No teflon there.
He beat the eggs with a silicone spatula to make them fluffier and then he used a fork to move the egg curds as they were cooking.

That being said, he flipped that omelet onto the plate like a peasant 
My cooking school teacher would have flipped the plate onto the counter.

But was that an iron skillet? It looked like Teflon to me.

it actually looked like a induction pan....which would go with the induction range top s they had

I'm no chef but the eggs seemed really overdone to me (in the scene when he's in Reece's kitchen).
