Pepin and the Geniuses

From Jacques Pepin: “When I was head Chef for Charles De Gaulle we prepared many state dinners for Kings and Presidents. It would never have occurred to anyone to thank me publicly or introduce me after a meal. I was a cook, that’s it! Today, of course it’s different. We are all ‘geniuses’ now.”

So the “genius” in the film behaves like a psychopath because that’s how important things get done perfectly.

Well, let’s see if that would work on something perhaps not so important, but...:

Doctor entering room: "OK! where are my knives!"

Nurse: “Um, doctor, we have only these scalpels we usually use…”

Doctor: “No special knives?! Putain de Bordel! Useless bastards!”
“OK, let’s open his head. NO! NO! NO! It must be perfect! You call that an incision? Get away…”
“Anesthesiologist! Where’s my Anesthesiologist?"

Anesth. (meekly): "I'm here"

Doctor: "What do you mean ‘I’m here”. You say: “Yes Surgeon”! You idiot, that tube goes on the left! (Throws gas tank across room). "Do you know who I am? I’m the genius! Is that how you anesthesiologize at other hospitals?" "

Patient slowly grabs a gown and backs out of the room...

Doctor yelling after him: "Wait! Where are you going?! Who do you think you are! What about my stars?!? I was going to make espresso!"
