Impressive found footage film...

I normally loathe found footage films ..
I love horror so I watch as many as I can get hands on so I can definitely differentiate the good from the not so good...
This was really well done...
Yea there are a few things like people holding phones and laptops at god awful times when they should just be running but like any horror film you are probably gonna have to suspend disbelief at least a little...
I was thrown by the Hostelesque ending it's not what I expected ...

It is bit like The Collingswood Story?

Having seen them all in a quite literal sense, this film excels in areas few have done. Actually raised my hair at times, masterfully put together in a way that surpassed both V/H/S films, but that's just my opinion as a hardcore fan of horror.

People have become far too comfortable with their smart phones, tablets, laptops and pc's and the HD Cams they all have, any half decent hacker could easily remotely access them at random, making this sorta thing very plausible.

It's been so long I had almost forgotten a horror flick can actually have an affect on me, the last one would have to be Maniac.

I have to say i was skeptical about "Maniac" being remade... Joe Spinell will be forever etched into my mind back when i used to wander the local Video store and stare endlessly at the artwork on the video cases especially the horror genre... Early 80's the horror floodgates were opened when everyone put a VHS machine in there living rooms...
I have seen my fair share of bad remakes but Maniac is one of those rare instances when the remake surpasses the original film...
Elijah Wood was great..A lot of horror sites were ready to skewer him before the film was released...I knew he had it in him after his creepy ass Sin City performance..Maniac was great...

I agree Killer this one did a great job showing the technology of today and how the majority of people act on it, it was a good horror movie tho the ending was a bit predictable I enjoyed it non the less.
