Interesting.
It's not exactly product "placement"... it is more like Labatt's is the producer of the movie, and Kokanee beer is a co-star. Coke could do something similar with the polar bears, but I don't see it working with most products. It works here somewhat because of the ad campaign Kokanee has had going for a while, its commercials had characters and a storyline of sorts.
It will be interesting to see what effect its success or failure has on movies in the future.
Its just a 90 minute infomercial for beer. Much like Disney movies are 90 minute infomercials for toys. Not exactly revolutionary thinking - except in the beer industry I guess.
shareI dunno. Anyone remember The Wizard? A 90 minute Nintendo commercial.
Don't make me destroy you.
Whats wrong with beer? This movie is amazing. So funny. I love beer and I love this movie. Maybe you can only like this movie if you like beer?
Like you can only like all those stupid sports movies if you like sports?
Your comment is amazing. I'm going to watch this movie solely based on it. It just makes sense.
shareNothing wrong with it. Just if it's a commercial then don't make me pay for it.
