Great cast! Something to look into!

WOW! This one has got actually lots and lots of things, going on already, for this kind of movie!
I must say, first and foremost, besides, truly digging those hard boiled, violent crime thrillers/drama's, i shall stretch it..lol i am just in love with the casting, here!
And, this casting, especially,is so very rich, and, extremely well composed, with such a great, diverse, appalling almost, combination of great, interesting faces and stars! And, while some may be more well known to the Cult/Genre aficionados perhaps, there's now doubt here, i believe, to totally already getting like a sense, this one could be truly one of those major sleepers, and i am totally feeling it, since this cast for me is on paper, already and definitely offering, a strong guarantee of quality and of a more "unique" and not formula flick, way so more strongly than many other products out there, and, coming mainly from the cast, this is for me, again, one more reason to be truly have this on my list of flicks of the year, and, to be waiting for it!
And, i see there's already lots of folks feeling the same way.. No wonder! lol
Dolph Lundgren was so due for a comeback! Oh dude, I mean, the man is awesome, he's always been, and, think how many decent action heroes do we got, on these 'grim' days?
Love that they paired him up opposite or against(don't know yet, crazy about finding out!) with Randy Couture, who's for me, another one who's true movie star material, right now, and, for more one reason, seriously, the man has got all the good chances to become a major draw now, since, he's already famous (and, outside the movie circles, obviously, but, he's truly very recognizable by pretty much every man in America, who'd merely dig action and fighting!) nonetheless Randy's got a huge follow, and, that's a fact, he's pretty much well known everywhere, and, if someone was to argue that he is getting close to late 40s, early 50's, i must say he still completely rocks, and, he does look just awesome, bet lots of females, or even Gay's, out there, could totally go nuts over him! Last, but not least, of course, he's got great acting skills, which is obviously a major plus, so i can totally see him explode. He's natural in the action scene!
Vinnie Jones is also such another great actor, and, somewhat of a class act. I always thought he would have opt more for a career like, let's say, maybe, a Colin Firth or Anthony Hopkins, years ago, and, instead, he's becoming a great villain in Genre movies, without getting any lack of drama's or even comedies, in his extensive resume! The man is always working and handling very diverse type or characters! Very clever!
And then, was totally psyched out, when i saw the name of Domiziano Arcangeli, listed on this one! WOW! Arcangeli, even though can be sort of an "acquired taste", and, definitely not, a mainstream well known name like others, he is still a legend! And, ain't kidding on this!
Arcangeli, especially for fans of the Genre, or of Euro Exploitation flicks, like myself, he's the *beep* Excuse my French! hehe
But this man was a top model in the 1980's when he was just a teen, appearing on so many publications everywhere, then even working in films with incredible directors, such as Fellini, Tinto Brass, Liliana Cavani (of The Night Porter), Mauro Bolognini, Lucio Fulci, Sergio Martino,J ean-Jaques Annaud, Jesse Franco, Rollin, Giulio Questi, Capitani, Mario Bianchi, Tonino Valeri, and really, the list could go on.. And, since he's returned in the US, he's been in lots of real oddities, but, still that makes him so incredibly wild, if you think he's also in a few extremely great flick's, though, such as, the excellent "Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf", playing real good the main character, he was a riot on that one, and, i saw him even in the less awesome, but, truly hysterical camp hoot's romp called "Werewolf in a Women Prison", if you can believe that, even co-starring with pretty Victoria De Mare, who's a scream queen, and, quite interestingly enough, she is also listed in the cast of "Rush", too!
Loved Arcangeli also in a Lions Gate little, weird, sci fi/outbreak type of film, that came out last year, called "Virus X" and playing opposite another long time passion of mine, Sybil Danning! And, besides being the lead guy, in that artsy, but real gross, dark perv fest of a film, called something like "Flesh Mannequins", Arcangeli's got lately a serious number of hot movies coming out, starting with "Wrath of the Crows", looking awesome from its trailer, and starring also 2 other hot, personal favorite of mine: Tiffany Shepis and Debbie Rochon, then, he's also in great director, Everett Lewis' "Territory", and he stars in "Orgy of Blood" that looks really pretty shocking, and, in another couple of super cool chillers, totally out there..
I don't know, but, I've also been always fascinated, with this man: he's worked with some of the most incredible International filmmakers, lived a life of juicy scandals -didn't they even say that, after getting married to a Miss Italy, at 19 years old, he had became photographer's Helmut Newton and his wife Alice Springs, co-shared boy toy, and even that, later, he was supposedly dating (the not so closeted) Vin Diesel, while going with Vin, to a number of wild leather, S/M orgies, in the San Francisco's area? Oh well, by living in LA, we do certainly hear a lot of crap, i am sure, nonetheless I think that Arcangeli is one of the most interesting looking and truly wild actors we've gotten in a while, and, i'm totally excited to see him on this movie too! I hope he's got a good role in it.. the man looks awesome, and, he's just natural cult material, c'mon! In fact, he's also been reported that he may be in the cast Lions Gate Films third installment of "The Expendables", and, now tell me, if this is not a funny coincidence, or what? Both, Lundgren and Randy Couture will be starring as well, of course, if it gets made!
And, no,it's not over! Yea, i've got another major surprise here: always in the cast department: William McNamara! Man, is this "Rush" cast, something else, or what? Used to love Billy McNamara! When he was starring in the excellent "Copy Cat" opposite Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter, i thought he was gonna become the new and better Tom Cruise! But, guess you never know what's going on with these actors, 'cause, i had been already back then (think 1995 or something..) checking out McNamara, for a few years, especially, after i had seen him in a great drama, with Jodie Foster and others, called "Stealing Home"..However, and, again, considering his excellent work in that successful main movie that "Copy Cat" had been, instead of being on the hot list's of new projects, all of a sudden, he started, who knows why, on appearing on smaller and smaller, even questionable films or Cable stuff, until.. here's he again now, popping up on this very cool ensemble, and, in something that looks like could be another major role for him. At least, i'd like to hope so!
I don't know nothing about those other younger guys, Daniel Bonjour and Gianni Cappaldi, but, they seem super cool, especially, Mr. Bonjour!
On top of everything else, the rest of this great supporting cast is filled also with names who are definitely known to all the lovers of Horror's or Cult films, so it's getting truly exciting!
Not to mention, that this is made by a very good company like Voltage, that's always made incredibly serious, good mainstream movies, including the last Robert Redford's one, "The Company you Keep", which is rather compelling, indeed!
So, i have great hopes for "Rush", and, while, i am not really sure, whether we'll be able to see it theatrically or not, i guess, it will depend a lot on how the movie will fair at the end..the final turn out of the picture, it's always the main thing, of course!
Don't i hope it does well? Man, this sounds real fun, and, even hard boiled stuff!
And, let me tell you, after i saw that cast of personal favorite's of mine, all lined up together, i was like, wow, that's enough for me to be willing to buy and own this flick, eventually! I hope the story will be as good, but, then again, i read "Voltage Pictures" which is again a brand of quality and linked to A listers, so then i believe i've got my reasons to be totally hot about this new film!
Wondering if anyone knows more about the story and, what else you people may think in general, however, i saw from the other postings, there's plenty of others on IMDB, already, excited for this film, and, with pretty much the same reasons i brought up! Everybody seems to be asking for a release date, which i am sure, it won't be any time soon, but, if anyone knows, i'd be wildly putting this title, at the top of my list, considering all these amazing credentials: especially for those like myself, that is, people who love Cult movies and actors, you know? This is just 'the thing', man! Cannot wait and hope for the best!
Cheers!

I know like as if I'm going to bother reading all that. It just has shill all over it from the title anyway.

Dolph and Vinnie sounds a good start, perhaps you could write a review and let us know if the film met your expectations.

I have a nasty feeling your great hopes for this film have been cruelly dashed now that it's out and you've had the chance to see it. It was the worst piece of tat I have had the misfortune to sit through in years. Absolutely ghastly.

it is definately a great movie. *beep* the ratings. But Lundgren is not the leading actor. Everything is based around the two drug dealers.

Jeez dude, nice to see someone passionate about stuff, but that's one serious wall of text. Maybe lay off the commas a little too lol

And vinnie jones having an "Anthony Hopkins/ Colin fifth type career"??? I don't think that was ever on the cards.

Still, hope it lived up to your expectations

Can't remember when I've seen an OP write so much text, about such a sh!tty film. 🐭
