I thought it was a porno
I was watching SNL around 12:30 AM and during a commercial I flipped down to Fox. Some show I've never heard of called SAF3 was on. First season, sixth episode in, year 2013 so it's new.
It's immediately terrible, but I can't figure out its intention. Here's me trying to figure out what this show is:
"Oh, it's a comedy. Got it (confusion genuinely resolved). Must be a part of Fox's new late night Saturday comedy block. Sort of has the same dialogue delivery of one of those intentionally bad Adult Swim shows."
[Few more minutes go by]: "Wait, IS this a comedy?"
[Montage scene of them climbing a training tower]: "Okay, yeah, it's an intentional comedy (confusion once again resolved)."
[Severely burn-scarred man]: "Wait, I know that guy! Why is he familiar to me? Wasn't he on Letterman or The Daily Show talking about his experience in the military? I know I've seen him before. Okay, this can't be a comedy."
[Typical porno speaking cadence of line delivery]: "Ohhhhhh, it's a porno! Now I get it (genuinely thought it was). Wait, this is Fox, it can't be a porno!"
[More of that typical porno speaking cadence method of delivering lines]: "Maybe it's a no nudity porno or something."
[More ridiculousness ensues]: "I think I like this."
