Spot the VW camper

From the very first scene supposedly set in HK 1949, there is a blue and white VW camper van driving down the street. As these were not in production at the time, it kind of clashed with the authentic feel. But it got much, much worse.
Virtually every street shot had the very same camper van driving past. Even the last few frames that were in the late 60's early 70's showed the exact same van driving past. In total there must have been at least 10 shots of it.
I tried to enjoy the film but his completely took me out of it.
