Anyone familiar with the real Ip Man's life story know ? Most of what I know about him is from the movies.

(That's assuming she is a real individual. If the "Northern Lady" is a made-up character, don't bother. I can make up my own motivation for a fictional creation.)

Dunno if she's a fictional character or not, but she stopped visiting Ip Man because she had cancer. In the end it was Ip Man taking care of her.
