The "Overnight" movie genre.

This is a very cool movie that as moved its' way to the top of one of my favorite genres- the Overnight.
Can anyone name a few more like this and Into the Night or After Hours?

reply

Not sure what the overnight means but seven psychopaths was an unexpecting fun movie.

he means the "one crazy night" subgenre. it's one of my favorites too. google 'one crazy night movies', you'll see many more

reply

I never really thought about it before, but I really enjoy the 'one crazy night' genre.

License to Drive and Blind Date are two of the best. Trojan Wars is another fun one.

Another one that could kind of fit into the group, and would appeal to people who enjoyed Stretch is 'Thursday' starring Thomas Jane. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

It becoming a "one crazy night" film made me really dislike it. Seen it done too many times that it's very predictable, if this came out 10 years ago I would probably enjoy it more but not now, this genre is tired for me.

Other films like this:

The Hangover series
Harold and Kumar series
Adventures in Babysitting
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Superbad
The Sitter
License to Drive

"LISTEN TO ME I'M DOCTOR TED NELSON!" - Dr.Ted Nelson
