I swear I thought the father was going to pick him up and put him to bed with a teddy bear.

I agree. He seems to have mental retardation.

HAHAHAH!! my son and I were thinking the EXACT same thing. We laughed so hard when after it stopped raining boulders and Jackson and his sister came running toward the dad and Jackson screamed- "she was supposed to be watching me!!" wtf?? he's looks 17 yrs. old.

It felt like the role was written for a young kid, and then they cast a much older kid.
