My 7 year old nephew would've made a better movie. What most surprises me is, why on earth would Morgan Freeman be a part of this disastrous movie. I feel bad for people who had to waste 2 hours of their lifetime watching this... this i don't even know what to call it. The acting, was horrendous. Extremely disappointed!.
Why would you call me that? Comeon you gotta admit you've seen better from Clive Owen. And Gezza Mott or whatever his name was... you call that acting ?? I've seen enough movies and wrote enough reviews to know what quality is. Next time you reply to a comment get your facts straight; before replying, second you're probably a 13 year old kid so im not going to encourage you any further. Ammateurs !
I can't comment on the Film yet as I haven't seen it, hence looking at reviews and board comments. People who make such comments as "WORST MOVIE EVER!" will always get replies that you have. You see, its a bit over the top don't you think. I mean is it REALLY the worst film ever. Can you think of any worse films?? If you can then you have proven your original post as a lie therefore you will receive Troll status. However, if you are under 10 years old then Im sure you will grow to be less of a drama queen!
It is far from the worst film ever, but it is pretty damn bad. Poor acting, script on par with what you'd expect from a low budget fantasy film, only made to seem even worse thanks to the fact that there is lots of wonderful scenery and sets. In fact, they had every chance here to make something really good, but instead they allow it to fall flat on its face thanks to such a travesty of a script and poor directing. Although I doubt a 7-year old could make anything better, I do believe that any teenage fan of fantasy literature could have written a script just as good. Actually, that is what it very much felt like. The work of a fantasy fan with too much money, who could afford well known actors, great filming locations and absolutely no writing and directing experience.
Cuz it's not a REAL *beep* movie, they don't make those anymore. How do Clive Owen and Morgan make something like this? Cuz it's a *beep* paycheck and that's all. Remember in the 80's real b-movies were dtv crap starring a brother of a famous actor (frank stallone, or don swayze, etc) but nowadays a credible actor can be starring in a tv show, an a-list blockbuster, a dtdvd PIECE OF *beep* like this and a *beep* commercial on *beep* ridiculous. Greed is everything nowadays - this is why I watch maybe 5 movies a year now - and these shadily funded, anyone can this POS kinda movies, you can keep em. I think the movies died out when CGI (everyone's favorite director - he should have co-credit on EVERY movie made nowadays) started taking over all the directing jobs (along with his assistant Mr. I'm not an artist just another film school graduate who has no passion and will just rip off every movie I'm ever seen for his whole career). Greed has ruined EVERY artistic medium and made over saturation our un-escapable future.
I've seen enough movies and wrote enough reviews...
LOL! Anyone who has to write something like that, repeatedly, is looking for some kind of recognition that he just ain't gonna get.
You've come to the wrong place for a pat-on-the-back brother.
Oh, and anyone who starts a thread with "WORST MOVIE EVER", in caps no less, clearly hasn't seen many movies. So, in short... you're opinion isn't worth shyte.
As i said; i've seen and reviewed more than enough war movies to know what quality is, and the truth is the acting and half of the actors who took part in this movie were as fake as pamela andersons boobs
* The depictions of absolute total devotion to honor, fidelity, principles, and loyalty ~
* Exemplary illustration of how evil a corrupt bureaucrat can be & the harms caused by such a person if allowed to continue unfettered, in his extorting & abusing of others (including abusing the system)and with his lack of honor or humanity -- his very psychopathy ~ this character transcends time as these types are all around us in present time, ripping away at the very hearts and souls of societies and trampling on anyone who dares to 'protest' ~ all to satisfy their petty vanities & endless greed.
* Men with goals & focus: Well-planned focused meting out of justice at great cost & sacrifice, against huge odds, and no matter how long it takes ~ an ultimate devotion to deeply held beliefs & a just cause, not just through talk and chatter, but through action and delivery.
* Inspired monologue by Morgan Freeman, especially regarding the ramifications of allowing injustice and corruption to continue unchecked and unchallenged, not just in relation to him & his, but also for all others at the receiving end of the corruption and who dare not to stand against it.
denise1234, I am in compete agreement! One of the best I have seen and enjoyed in a pretty long time. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I do not understand this vicious post. As you said, "What's not to love?"
What didn't you like? The amazingly wooden dialog and delivery? The wide variety of accents, races, colors, dresses, weapons and architecture? It was like Lord of the Rings crashing into The Last Samurai and The Prince of Persia, with all the characters suffering from amnesia and having to just pick things at random. Wow.
Perfect example of how generals should behave (spend the whole day spying on their drunk enemies and their wives) instead of pointless training, planning and preparation. And getting drunk for a year is definitely the perfect way to plan, organize and lead a secret coup d'etat against a cunning, paranoid and evil villain.
Pretty sure the emperor was a cyborg (maybe most of the characters were). Now that would have been an interesting story.
I, for one, agree. I saw the film and the ending that people gush over makes no sense with regards to the characters in the movie. In the film, Walker's character does not die, yet all the other characters act profoundly sad at the end when he drives off- but in their world, he's just driving like he's done a thousand times before. It's insanely stupid and fans eat it up. I know for a fact if you wrote the same post anywhere near a Fast & Furious page, you would be virtually gang-raped within seconds.
Wouldn't say its the worse movie ever but I can say I was not really impressed by it either. It had the typical revenge plot, that we have seen million of times before, but I kinda of liked the idea in how they were going to proceed to get their revenge. Problem is that it was poorly executed, you figured out what was going to happen about halfway into the movie and then that plot was pointless. The characters were also very boring, over the top macho men that makes one rather laugh than root for. And the horrible written female characters are sadly not much to mention. They felt like filler. There could have been a good sub plot in regards of the daughter to the master but that never happened.
It had potential of a good revenge story in a nice set and setting and they blew it.
Just finished watching this it is a boring movie to say the least. The acting from Clive Owen and Morgan freedman was solid but there supporting cast was soso. The film looked really dull and the action sequences were few and far between even them were cheap looking and boring standard hack and slash with no cinematic flare. Skip this and watch king Arthur the directors cut ( with violence restored) much better film.
