It took awhile for me to get into Show Me a Hero. But David Simon is a genius and I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I am sure the payoff will be great. I have always enjoyed character driven TV with great writing. I noticed it's a 9.1 (rating) right now. That is impressive.
It's definitely not for everyone, but it is not boring. Neither was The Wire.
Definitely not boring and very engaging.
