Well it was better than Warm Bodies and Life After Beth...

Ok, this wasn't the greatest film ever made and not every joke exactly hits the spot, but it's better than some horror comedies I've seen in the last few years. The humour in stuff like Warm Bodies, Life After Beth and Dead Before Dawn, for example, was completely non-existent - so anyone saying that this is the worst comedy ever clearly hasn't seen any of those.

There probably isn't much more humour left to get from the zombie comedy genre, with Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland nailing it quite nicely already, but this was a valiant attempt at least for those wanting to see something new.

It doesn't have to be humorous to be classified as a comedy. A black comedy is called a black comedy for a reason, and those films ARE black comedies.

i actually really liked life after beth. i'd give it the same rating as this [6.5, almost 7/ 10]

warm bodies definitely blew

I completely disagree. Both Warm Bodies and Life After Beth were much better movies, they had humour and more, never relied on dirty jokes. In comparison Cooties just feels like a silly teenage joke. Funny at times, but still silly. And as others have pointed out, the film starts well but quickly runs out of juice.
